WHO IS SEDATION RECOMMENDED FOR?

WHAT TYPES OF ANESTHESIA EXIST?

Sedation: During sedation, the patient enters a very deep state of relaxation. Consciousness is slightly impaired, but the patient can still understand and follow verbal instructions. The patient is in a state of sedation, so they do not feel pain during the treatment, and there are no unpleasant memories after the intervention.
General Anesthesia: During general anesthesia, the patient is in a state of deep unconsciousness or sleep. The anesthesiologist at KG Dental Clinic continuously monitors the patient’s heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing using modern equipment throughout the procedure.

WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED TO CONFIRM HEALTH STATUS?

Before the procedure, the patient needs to fill out a questionnaire regarding their general health and any existing medical conditions. If necessary or if the patient is over 40 years old, they need to bring an ECG (Electrocardiogram) and laboratory results.

Six hours before the treatment, the patient should not drink, eat, or smoke.

HOW LONG DOES THE ANESTHESIA LAST?

The anesthesia can last a maximum of 1.5-2 hours.

CAN I GO HOME AFTER ANESTHESIA?

A responsible person must accompany you within a 3 km radius of the clinic for 24 hours after anesthesia.
