Dental implant at KG Dental

Tooth loss can cause many unpleasant moments in our lives. Thanks to the advancement in dentistry, however, there is an excellent solution for the unrestricted restoration of chewing, and the ability to eat, drink, and smile freely. Dental implantation, also known as artificial root implantation, is a low-risk and virtually painless surgical procedure where an artificial tooth root is placed in the missing tooth’s position, allowing for the restoration of full functionality.

Moreover, due to the global spread of implant systems, the cost of implants has become more affordable, making it possible for almost everyone to find the perfect implant system.

Replacement of missing teeth

KG Dental Clinic is a reference practice for the Alpha-Bio and Nobel Biocare implant family, providing you with a high guarantee of quality and lasting implantation.

What are the advantages of dental implants?

  • The most modern solution available today for replacing missing teeth.
  • Made of titanium, it does not cause allergic reactions.
  • 98% of the implants are successful.
  • Thanks to local anesthesia, the procedure is entirely painless.
  • It allows for individual replacement of teeth without
  • the need to grind down healthy adjacent teeth.
  • The denture supported by the implant provides a feeling as if you were getting back your own, natural, strong, and healthy teeth

What dental issues does implantation offer a durable and aesthetic solution for?

In the case of a missing tooth:

If the adjacent teeth are healthy. So, if you have only lost one tooth (e.g., due to a sports injury, accident resulting in a broken tooth, or extensive decay where the tooth cannot be saved and needs to be extracted), implantation can prevent the need to grind down the adjacent healthy teeth. Instead of a bridge, the gap can be filled with a single implant and crown.

In the case of a missing single central tooth:

In this scenario, the integrity of adjacent teeth can be preserved, as the missing teeth are replaced with implants and crowns or bridges. This is a gentle and durable solution for replacing missing teeth.

In the case of complete tooth loss:

For a long time, there was only one solution for complete tooth loss: removable dentures. However, if wearing removable dentures is uncomfortable for you or if they are not adequately stable, crowns or bridges can be made with the appropriate number of implanted teeth. Additionally, it is possible to secure an unstable denture on implants.

With this solution, youthful chewing ability can be restored, and you can confidently smile again.

What you need to know about the post-implantation period:

The relationship between the dentist and the patient does not end after the creation of the implant-supported denture. To achieve long-term results, it is crucial to strictly follow the dentist’s instructions. Regular dental check-ups, approximately every 6-12 months, are essential, and special attention should be given to oral hygiene and dental care. Your dentist or a dental hygienist can assist you in understanding and demonstrating the correct techniques for dental cleaning after the denture is made. If necessary, you may need to acquire special tools in addition to a toothbrush (interdental brush, dental floss, etc.). The long-term success of an implant-supported denture depends on the cooperation between you and your dentist. In case of any abnormalities, no matter how minor, consult your dentist immediately.
